UK Hand Knitting has unveiled special plans for their stand at the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace 5-10th October.
As well as the usual charming band of volunteers teaching knitting and crochet, and the expert Yarn Doctors, who are on hand to treat your project problems, the stand will become a yarn swooshing zone for the duration of the show.
UK Hand Knitting is asking visitors to bring along any yarn they don’t want so that it can be donated to the charity Knit For Peace. In return they will be entered in to a draw to win yarn and goodies from UKHKA members. The top prize will be £100 worth of yarn and accessories with 2 runners up prizes of £50 each.
“ We are encouraging knitters and crocheters to de-stash before they come to the show to help such an amazing charity, whose volunteers always need yarn. And it will help you all make room for all the lovely new products you are able to buy at the show,” says Emma Morris from UK Hand Knitting.
