Stylecraft has unveiled its first launch for the spring summer season, promising a feast of inviting shades and designs for 2019.
There are two important trends that Stylecraft has identified as key for the hand knit and crochet markets.
Tribal Eccentric is a clashing soft & strong colour palette that focuses on vibrancy. It has hints of folk-inspired colours reminiscent of tribal textiles that oozes mystery. Loose lightweight shapes that dance with playful spirit, layers of lace boldly smudged with strong textures that incorporate exuberance and energy.
Radiant Romance is a sumptuously soft palette of pastels that give a watery fluid feeling.
Blush pinks blend with soft lilacs and periwinkles to create a feminine romance that lead into stronger fresh pigments to bring together a more interest perspective for the use of colour.
Delicate structures such as open pointelle combine with simple elegant silhouettes, that drape beautifully against the body.
Dreamcatcher is the first of the new yarns from Stylecraft available in six shades and is a beautiful, DK weight mélange of colours in a roving style yarn. The colour change is phased so that the shades shift gradually, making it perfect for the trans-seasonal patterns that support Dreamcatcher. Relaxed shaped garments and a range of stylish accessories are sure to be popular with knitters as will the free scarf pattern on each ball band.

After all, why should the grown-ups have all the fun?

Blankets are always extremely popular with crocheters so Stylecraft has turned to designer Helen Boreham (known as Chain Space Designs) who has a great eye for colour and shape. The Pressed Flower Blanket features xx colours of Stylecraft Bellissima in an eye-catching display of motifs, while the Honeycomb Blanket and Cushion set, also using Bellissima, elevates the humble hexagon to a new level. We already have our hooks lined up ready for these beauties.
Stylecraft’s first launch for spring summer 2019 will start to appear in store from 14th January.
